What information does Stargame collect?
When you sign up for a User Account through the mobile app or website, you voluntarily give us certain personal information including your name, e-mail address, address, postal code/ZIP code, gender. Use of the Mobile App and website may involve access to your location through your mobile device. You will be asked for permission before the App accesses and uses your location information.
How are your personal information used and what is collected ?
― Email: your email is collected to create a unique account.
― First name: your first name is collected to auto generate a username.
― Last name: your first name is collected to auto generate a username.
― Location: your location is collected to display the nearest Astronomical event near you.
― Profile picture: your profile picture is collected and displayed in the world top players score board. You can change this by selecting another picture among a vast and rich avatar list of icons.
― The model and version of mobile: this information is collected to better track bugs.
― Device language: the device language is collected in order to display the correct content. Any user can also switch lang to override the default device phone.
― IP address: the IP address is collected at registration in order to track scams.
Within the app, all users have access and can modify the following information: First name, last name, email, screen name, country, state, city, gender, profile picture.
Also from within the app any user can select destroy account. This will remove all data from the user, including profile informations, game progress, game trophies, game transactions.
Your personal information is collected and saved in a dedicated server hosted with Linode. Colnet.ca aim to provide you with a safe and secure experience. Certain physical, electronic, technological, and organizational safeguards are in place to appropriately protect the security and privacy of your personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, disclosure, copying use or modification. Please note, however, that Colnet.ca tries to create a secure and reliable Platform for users, the confidentiality of any information transmitted to or from the mobile app cannot be guaranteed.
― All calls made from the mobile app to our backend system are made using HTTPS calls.
― All calls made from the mobile app to our backend system are encrypted.
― The server is secure and uses the latest security updates.
Please note that Stargame does not collect and does not require a password in order to access your account within the game. Instead, it relies on a combination of your favorite moon of the Solar System and a number between 0 and 100. Why? because internet breaches are more and more frequent these days and in the eventuality of a leak, these two pieces of information are unharmful.
What information does Stargame Alexa collect?
When you install or play with the Stargame Alexa Skill through Amazon Alexa, you voluntarily give us certain personal information, including your user device personal identifiers, user language, user points, number of times the game is played, first time the user played the Skill, and last time the user played the Skill.
How is your personal information used, and what is collected?
― User device identifiers: your identifiers are collected in order to have a unique ID to better target your account, and to allow your points to be calculated correctly.
― User language: the language you use is collected in order for the Alexa Device to speak/show text in the correct language.
― User points: points are stored and calculated each time a good answer is given by the user.
― Skill utilisation: the first and last use of the game are stored for statistical reasons.
